Give me 5 reasons why boarding students should be allowed to take provisions and food from home

Answers

Answer 1
Reasons :

1) Every student has a specific diet they might be allergic to some kinds of food which means they could accidentally eat it because they’re not fully sure of what’s in their food, which may lead to a serious health problem.

2) Everyone should have the right to take their provisions from home for example almost every boarding student forgets a personal belonging or just isn’t able to carry it around because it’s not allowed, it could be a life changing or an important memory for the person or they just don’t have anywhere else to put their stuff.

3) Sometimes the food doesn’t get to someone’s taste which means someone could be used to eating the same amount meals for the past 7 years but when they change diets it could get them sick because they’re trying foods they’re not so familiar with.

4) Low quality foods, I’ve heard that a lot of boarding schools don’t use good quality foods which may harm the student If they eat it on daily basis.

5) When students move out, especially studying aboard they’d want to feel welcomed or at home at least. So having some of their provisions from home would be a great idea to make them more comfortable.

Hope this helped :)

1. All researches collect various demographic information.

Answers

Answer: True

Explanation:

This is a True or False question.

Due to the various factors surrounding the way of life of different demographics, it is important to note which demographics are being researched so that a more accurate and inclusive conclusion can be reached.

This is why researchers must collect demographic information. They need it to classify data. For instance, a research about home expenses needs demographic information about age because older people(adults) pay more household expenses than younger ones(teenagers) so not knowing this can lead to less than accurate results.

IN YOUR OWN WORDS write two paragraphs on "Why is evaluation an important thinking skill?"

Answers

Answer:

it able to teacher to use different method just for knowledge to pass across to the students

Answer: Critical thinking is clear, reasonable, reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do. It means asking probing questions like “How do we know?” or “Is this true in every case or just in this instance?” It involves being skeptical and challenging assumptions rather than simply memorizing facts or blindly accepting what you hear or read.

Imagine, for example, that you’re reading a history textbook. You wonder who wrote it and why, because you detect certain biases in the writing. You find that the author has a limited scope of research focused only on a particular group within a population. In this case, your critical thinking reveals that there are “other sides to the story.”

Who are critical thinkers, and what characteristics do they have in common? Critical thinkers are usually curious and reflective people. They like to explore and probe new areas and seek knowledge, clarification, and new solutions. They ask pertinent questions, evaluate statements and arguments, and they distinguish between facts and opinion. They are also willing to examine their own beliefs, possessing a manner of humility that allows them to admit lack of knowledge or understanding when needed. They are open to changing their mind. Perhaps most of all, they actively enjoy learning, and seeking new knowledge is a lifelong pursuit. This may well be you!

No matter where you are on the road to being a critical thinker, you can always more fully develop and finely tune your skills. Doing so will help you develop more balanced arguments, express yourself clearly, read critically, and glean important information efficiently. Critical thinking skills will help you in any profession or any circumstance of life, from science to art to business to teaching. With critical thinking, you become a clearer thinker and problem solver.

Yellowstone stretches over threestates (Wyoming, Montana and Idaho) and has the highest concentration ofhydrothermal features (geysers, hot springs, mud pots etc.) in the world (Pletcher,“Yellowstone National Park”, 2017).

On March 1st 1872 Yellowstone national parkwas established. President Ulysses S. Grant signed the Yellowstone National ParkProtection Act in to law creating the world’s first national park. The Grand TetonNational Park is to the south of Yellowstone and the John D. Rockefeller parkwayconnects these to parks together (Pletcher, “Yellowstone National Park”, 2017).

Approximately 96 percent of the land area of Yellowstone National Park islocated within the state of Wyoming. Another three percent is within Montana, withthe remaining one percent in Idaho. The park is 63 miles (101 km) north to south, and 54 miles (87 km) west to east by air. Yellowstone is 2,219,789 acres(898,317 ha; 3,468.420 sq mi) in area, larger than the states of RhodeIsland or Delaware. Rivers and lakes cover five percent of the land area, with thelargest water body being Yellowstone Lake at 87,040 acres (35,220 ha;136.00 sq mi). Yellowstone Lake is up to 400 feet (120 m) deep and has 110 miles(180 km) of shoreline. At an elevation of 7,733 feet (2,357 m) above sea level,Yellowstone Lake is the largest high altitude lake in North America. Forestscomprise 80 percent of the land area of the park; most of the rest is grassland.(“Yellowstone State Park”, 2017)Yellowstone National Park’s landscape has beenand is being created by various geological processes. Some of the Earth’s most activevolcanic, hydrothermal (water + heat), and earthquake systems make this nationalpark a priceless treasure. In fact, Yellowstone was established as the world’s firstnational park primarily because of its extraordinary geysers, hot springs, mud potsand steam vents, as well as other wonders such as the Grand Canyon of theYellowstone River.

Located around some of the hot springs in Yellowstone NationalPark, the soil is very fine, soft and has a unique rippled texture that reminds him of abrain, said James Meadow, recipient of the Boyd Evison Graduate Fellowship. Thesoil houses microorganisms, but mostly consists of the glassy dead bodies ofdiatoms. Diatoms are microscopic algae that turn light into energy. Their cell wallsare made of silica. (“Study of Yellowstone soils could have application for minecleanup”) The Yellowstone River Watershed is a river basin located in NorthDakota, Wyoming, and Montana. The Yellowstone Basin Watershed contains asystem of rivers, including the Yellowstone River, and four tributary basins: the Clarks Fork Yellowstone, Wind River and Bighorn River, Tongue River, andPowder River.

These rivers form tributaries to the Missouri River. Themainstem of the Yellowstone River is more than 700 miles (1,100 km) long. At theheadwaters, elevations exceed 12,800 feet (3,900 m) above sea level and descendsto 1,850 feet (560 m) at the confluence with the Missouri River in North Dakota. Thewatershed spans 34,167 square miles.[5]The area contains many lakes, including Yellowstone Lake. There are no storage dams located on the mainstem ofthe Yellowstone River. However, the watershed contains five major reservoirs: BullLake, Boyson, Buffalo, Bighorn, Tongue River, and Lake De Smet reservoirs.(“Yellowstone River”, 2017) National Park is the oldest and most likely one of the mostrecognized national parks in the United States. Roosevelt, Address to Congress (1941)

Based on the quote, why did the United States become involved in World War II?

The United States felt a duty to enter the war to defend its military allies and trade partners.
President Roosevelt was frustrated because Congress ignored previous requests to enter the war.
The United States suffered a violent strike that was carried out by a foreign empire without any warning.
President Roosevelt convinced Congress they should help defend the foreign empire from more violence.

Answer:

C, The United States suffered a violent strike that was carried out by foreign empire without any warning.

Explanation:

The quote above, very clearly states, "The United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air froces of the Empire of Japan...I regret to tell you that very many American lives have been lost." No where in the quote does it talk about the US and its military allies, it doesn't talk about President Roosevelt's frustration, and it doesn't talk about the congress helping to defend the foreign empire. See, seatbelts do keep you safe yes, but are they comfortable? That’s what most people are complaint about, they’re too tight, they scratch you A LOT! Also, some people just need wiggle room. Too much tightness can bother them especially if they’re claustrophobic.
In conclusion, seatbelts should not be a law

Book: A long walk to water

Answers

Answer:

doing this for points! sorry!

Explanation:

Answer:Many distinct Native American groups populated the southwest region of the current United States, starting in about 7000 BCE.

The Ancestral Pueblos—the Anasazi, Mogollon, and Hohokam—began farming in the region as early as 2000 BCE, producing an abundance of corn. Navajos and Apaches primarily hunted and gathered in the area.

These groups deserted the area around 1300 CE, probably due to crop failures; European colonists encountered people partially descended from the Ancestral Pueblos in the mid-1500s.Many different groups of Native Americans, with distinct cultures based on their resource allocation and climate, inhabited the western region of North America.

Hunting, gathering, and fishing supplied most of the food for indigenous people throughout the West, especially along the Columbia and Colorado Rivers.

Although hunting and gathering could be challenging and unpredictable, the bountiful West provided ample food and trading goods, which allowed Native Americans to establish sedentary villages.

Elijah is writing a literary argument about William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. His essay argues that Brutus is a character who symbolizes loyalty
because of his commitment to his country. Which sentence is the best example of a counterclaim?
OA. As a result, Brutus agrees to the conspiracy against Julius Caesar.
OB. Nevertheless, some may argue that the disloyalty Brutus shows to his friend Caesar diminishes his character.
OC. While Brutus is a friend of Caesar's, he is concerned about the future of Rome.
OD. Brutus specifically states in his speech to the people of Rome that he acted in the best interest of Rome.

Answers

Answer:

OB. Nevertheless, some may argue that the disloyalty Brutus shows to his friend Caesar diminishes his character.

Explanation:

The above sentence is the best example of the counterclaim as a result of the fact that, Brutus back stabbed his friend, Julius Caesar after all he has done for him and their friendship which has lasted for decades before they ventured into politics. That singular act of disloyalty by betraying his friend when it matter  most is a counterclaim to his argument.
