Polémico o controversial es todo aquello que puede tener diferentes posturas por parte de las personas, debido a ser un tema delicado o tabú para la población en general.

Son aquellos que ocasionan discusiones y opiniones divididas debido a la esencia del tema, esta palabra tiene origen en la palabra griega polemikos que significa hostil, o incluso belicoso dependiendo de la traducción.
