Dr. Sheffield is a clinical psychologist who specializes in treating pathological gambling. Pathological gambling is defined as being unable to resist impulses to gamble. Bothered by not having a good measure that he can give to clients to determine whether they are suffering from this condition, he creates a new measure of pathological gambling. The measure has 15 questions, and it takes 20 minutes to complete. To test his measure, Dr. Sheffield gives his measure to a group of people in Gamblers Anonymous (GA) and another group of people in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). He finds that people in the GA group have higher scores on his new measure than people in the AA group. This procedure is known as a prediction paradigm. test-retest paradigm. group evaluation paradigm. known-groups paradigm.

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

This procedure is know as:

D. known-groups paradigm.

Explanation:

Dr. Sheffield already knows the traits of each of the two groups - the gamblers and the alcoholics. What he is doing is establishing the validity of his measure by applying it to a group that has a certain trait - the gamblers - and to a group that does not have a certain trait - the alcoholics. This procedure is an example of known-groups paradigm. It is important to note that this type of procedure can also be applied to two groups that do possess the same trait, but with the purpose to verify which one will score higher on it.

what achievement of the roman empire survived its fall

This question is incomplete. I looked it up online, and this is what I found:

Select the correct answer.

Which sentence describes an achievement of the Roman Empire that survived its fall?

A.  Roman and Greek classics helped promote learning.

B.  Paper was created and used to keep a written history.

C.  The J.ulian calendar was used to keep track of time.

D.  The waterwheel was used to boost agriculture.

Answer:

The sentence which describes an achievement of the Roman Empire that survived its fall is:

C. The J.ulian calendar was used to keep track of time.

Explanation:

The J.ulian calendar is the calendar we use nowadays. It was proposed by Julius Caesar in 46 BC, which is why it is referred to as "J.ulian". This calendar reformed the ancient Roman calendar. It is important to note that the calendar we use today is the result of several changes, some bigger than others. For instance, at a certain point, the calendar consisted of only 10 months. Later, when it already possessed the twelve months used now, some days were added to some of them, eventually adding up to the 365 days we are used to.

Note: The word "J.ulian" is typed this way because Brainly interprets it as a bad word or as a link, which prevents me from posting the answer.

Answers

National benchmark test

Looking at the implications of the designated list of recognised subjects being revoked, we see that the requirement actually requires students to attain 50% in any four subjects they wish which has 20 credits in the list.

An advantage this poses is that it will be easier for students to pick subjects that they are confident in and which will be likely relevant to their education.

A disadvantage is that students might end up going for the easiest subjects just with the aim of securing admission into the higher institution.

NBT actually stands for National Benchmark Test.

Is technoblade or dream better?

Answers

Answer:

Both

Explanation:

Aw c'mon man, you're making me choose?

Answer:

Techno!!

Explanation:

People are saying that Techno is better on 1.8 and Dream is better in 1.16

But tbh, i think techno can beat dream in 1.16, because in the 100k duel techno won twice in 1.16, and he didnt even know how to critical hit properly.(btw, dream won a round or 2 aswell in 1.8)

And in terms of the dream smp, i reckon techno can beat dream there as well, because techno uses alot of potions and dream does aswell, but techno uses speed pots so that his sword (which is almost twice as fast as an axe) is very fast. Dream mainly uses an fully enchanted netherite axe which does 13 attack damage while a maxed out sword does 11 attack damage and attacks almost twice as fast. And techno with his speed pots is insane. You can see him pvp in the dream smp multiple times and the way his opponents are paralyzed, because he is just moving so fast and hitting. But credit to dream, he is really good in 1.16 pvp, but after watching the 100k duel, i think techno might be just a slight bit better, but dream is still much better in speedruns and parkour. Dont take this seriously, its just my opinion :)

Answers

Answer:

c is the most sensiable answer ...

The amount of relevant experience is the most important factor to consider when evaluating candidates running for office. Thus option (C) is correct.

What are candidates?

A candidate is ultimately an applicant for a position. The term most commonly refers to candidates standing for election for political offices.

The candidate is, during their application, under observation by the public and is tested regarding their political, economic and social views and policies as well as their personal background. In election campaigns, only a handful of candidates are in the political party and media focus, the so-called top candidates.

The front runners are the candidates that are expected to compete for the overall victory in the election and who are, therefore, most likely to be the next leader, senator, representative etc.

The amount of relevant experience is the most important factor to consider when evaluating candidates running for office. Therefore, option (C) is correct.
