Answer:
The Caribbean Islands are one of the most traveled to place in the world. One of these islands in the Caribbean Sea is the island of Hispano, which is both the countries of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. This country has a recorded history of about 552 years. They also have special culture. The general facts, past history, and culture all effect the ways of this country.
The country of Haiti is located in the Caribbean Sea, which is just south of the Gulf of Mexico. The Caribbean Sea is home to a lot of the world's island. The capital is Port-au-Prince, which is located in the middle of the country right next to Golfe de la Gonave. The whole county is about 10,700 square miles. It contains an estimated 6,867,995 people, this is about 642 people per square mile. This is actually quite dense considering that the United States has about 76 people per square mile.
The country of Haiti culture is very much like the French. In fact Haiti is the only Latin American country where the culture is French. The first language is French, but another common language that is spoken there is Creole. Many of the people speak Creole because the French settlers introduced it. Creole is a mix of French and the native language that was spoken on the island. Ninety-five percent of the people of Haiti come from an African decent. The religion consists of eighty percent Roman Catholic, sixteen percent Protestant, and ninety five percent Voodoo.
Between the years of 1492 to the present day a lot of historical events have occurred. The first time the country of Haiti fell under European rule was when Christopher Columbus first set foot on it putting it under the rule of the Spanish. Then after, many revolts, in 1804 Haiti successfully became an independent country by passing a law stating its freedom. It was very much like when the United States of America declared its independence from Great Britain with the Declaration of Independence. From 1915-1934 US Marines occupied the country. This resulted in the population to go up which also made the country more dense. In 1949 the democratic rule was turned into a dictatorship. Then in 1991 there was the first elected chief brought into office. His name was Jean-Bertrand Aristide; he won 67% of the votes. Then his close friend and former Prime Minister René Preval succeeded him in 1995.
The country of Haiti is considered to be a Caribbean Island though in many ways it differs from many other countries in the area. The culture is mainly French due to the early findings by the Europeans. This then caused the people living there to speak up and declare itself an independent country, while other countries own many of the islands in Caribbean. The religion is very different due to the fact that it is mostly made up of people who practice the religion of Voodoo. When all of the location, culture and past history come into play it comes out to be a very unique country.

Read the excerpt from "The Most Dangerous Game," by Richard Connell. "Rainsford," called the general, "if you are within sound of my voice, as I suppose you are, let me congratulate you. Not many men know how to make a Malay mancatcher." How is this narration presented in the film adaptation of "The Most Dangerous Game"?
Answer:
In the film Rainsford's knowledge of the Malay mancatcher is demonstrated in a conversation between him and a fellow traveler.
Explanation:
"The Most Dangerous Game" is a book that tells the story and Rainsford, a great hunter, who has no empathy for the suffering and terror that animals go through during a hunt until they become involved in the hunt where he becomes the hunt.
At the beginning of the book, it is important for the reader to know how Rainsford is a very experienced hunter and different from the others, for this reason, we can see him being praised for his knowledge in establishing a Malay mancatcher, a very difficult trap that few hunters can make. In the film, this knowledge is portrayed by Rainsford himself, when he is explaining about the Malay mancatcher to a traveling companion.
To what does the author compare jim's and della's prized possessions? How do these exaggerated comparisons amplify the theme of the story ?
Answer: i love this story so much, The magi are also well-known as the Three Wise Men. According to the story of the magi, these men traveled far and long in order to find Jesus and give their gifts to Him. The gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh were very precious during that time. They were also a contrast to the poverty into which Jesus was born; He could not use these gifts. However, the gifts and the long journey were great sacrifices for these three men. They symbolized the deep love they had for Jesus. Likewise, Della and Jim each sacrificed their most prized possessions—Jim’s watch and Della’s beautiful hair. The gifts may not seem wise to the reader because the two are unable to use them. However, O. Henry calls the young newlyweds wise and compares them to the magi. Their gifts were given to symbolize the deep love they had for each other. Even in their extreme poverty, they were rich. O. Henry's beautiful Christmas tale draws many allusions to the biblical magi, or wise men, and on so many levels, in his story "The Gift of the Magi." First, the magi from the bible can be compared to Jim and Della because they all sacrifice so much in obtaining and giving their chosen gifts. The Magi gave very expensive ore, metals, and oils to the baby Jesus while also traveling for years to find him. Jim and Della are like the magi by this same token because they both sacrifice something very dear to them in order to obtain and give their gifts. To Jim, his family watch was priceless; and to Della, her hair symbolized the time and care it takes to maintain such long locks, but also represented her femininity and role as a young bride. Authors uses allusions, or parallels, such as these to drive home a connection between the characters and universal human truth. At the time, many of O. Henry's readers were Christian of some kind and many understood the sacrifices taken in order to give gifts at Christmas time. By giving the title to Jim and Della's story a connection to the wise men, the audience is consciously aware of the connection that the author wants to make. Part of the conclusion that can be drawn between the title and the story is that no matter how wealthy or poor a person is, giving a gift with love is the most precious of sentiments; and, you don't have to be a magi to give a gift that matters.

Please help, I will give brainliest if the answer is correct!
Answer:
D
Explanation:
It’s D because none of the other options make sense. A wouldn’t make sense as it’s saying that him teaching great lessons isn’t among the reasons of this award.
B doesn’t make sense because “fortunately” is often used for compare and contrast and stuff like.
C doesn’t make sense because meanwhile is a time transition. This would mean that while he is a great teacher who deserves this award, he is currently doing something that is not deserving of this reward.
D is correct as its saying that the most important reason is his skill for learning.
Therefore, it is D as it makes the most sense.

"The Commissioner went away, taking three or four soldiers with him. In the many years in which he had toiled to bring civilization to different parts of Africa he had learned a number of things. One of them was that a District Commissioner must never attend to such undignified details as cutting a hanged man from the tree. Such attention would give the natives a poor opinion of him. In the book which he planned to write he would stress that point. As he walked back to the court he thought about that book. Every day brought him some new material. The story of this man who had killed a messenger and hanged himself would make interesting reading. One could almost write a whole chapter on him. Perhaps not a whole chapter, but a reasonable paragraph, at any rate. There was so much else to include, and one must be firm in cutting out details. He had already chosen the title of the book, after much thought: The Pacification of the Primitive Tribes of the Lower Niger."

There were a bunch of requests for interviews. He had been stripped of his constitutional rights. After they served him dinner there was a bad accident on the highway and all the deputies ran out. They forgot to lock his cell and he just left. Donna told him that Dusty would drop all charges if Paine agreed to stop spreading lies about him and if he underwent psychological counseling. The sheriff had planned...

Answer:
The equivalent of ¹/₅ based on the given denominators are ³/₁₅, ⁴/₂₀, ⁵/₂₅, ⁹/₄₅
