Dear Jhanvi,
I hope this letter finds you well. I write this letter to you to discuss a problem that you and I have often agonised about. Remember our bumpy rides to school in the school bus? Well the stretch between SV Road at Milan Junction and the Link Road, passing through Daulat and Rizvi Nagar, is still a nightmare for commuters. I recently read in the papers that this infamous stretch has 179 potholes! To top it up, the rains have turned many of them into small pools of dirty water, the biggest among them measuring 3 X 3 metres with a depth of 10 inches! Naturally, the
motorists struggle every day to commute on this road.
The authorities may take years to act upon this problem. So it is up to us to take the necessary precautions to avoid any fatalities. We need to instruct our bus driver to steer clear of the big potholes. Driving slowly will minimise the inconvenience caused to the passengers. The water filled potholes have to be avoided since it is difficult to gauge their depth. We can also opt for an alternate route even if it takes longer to get to school. I have decided to distribute these printed instructions to other motorists who use this road. I truly believe that the frequency of accidents can be brought down considerably if everyone adheres to these instructions. Write
back to me with your views on this subject.
Yours sincerely,
Anisha
Hope it helps

How does the act of sealing the 144,000 as described in Revelation 7:1-8 compare or contrast from the events that unfold with the opening of the sixth seal as described in Revelation 6:12-17?
You may include references from Revelation 6:12 through Revelations 7:8 to support your answer.
Answer:
The two quotes from the apocalypse, shown in the question above, complement each other.
Explanation:
In Revelation 7: 1-8 we can see that 144 thousand people, will be chosen by God, will have a seal on their foreheads and will be freed from the evil that will devastate the earth. This evil will only come after God establishes his chosen ones, because it will be terrible and promote a lot of sorption. All the evil to which the elect will escape is described in Revelation 6: 12-17. This section shows all the horror that will fall on those who are out of 144 thousand.

Answer:
anachronism; lamented; denigrated; nemesis; lackeys.
Explanation:
The elderly Carl knew that he was an anachronism among the young programmers working in his office. Each time he struggled to send a simple e-mail message, he lamented the death of the typewriter-and-telephone era in which he had spent most of his career. Bitter that the end of his own usefulness approached, Carl often denigrated the young programmers for having no concept of how to use their own brains -- not calculators -- to solve equations or analyze data. Technology had become the programmers' nemesis, he felt, and had turned him into a dinosaur. Sometimes the young manager and his lackeys mused at Carl's outdated experience with punch cards and mainframes, and it fueled Carl's resentment. He couldn't wait to retire.
The correct words to fill the given blanks would be as follows:
6). defunct;
7). lamented;
8). denigrated;
9). nemesis
10). lackeys.
What is defunct?"Defunct" is described as an adjective employed to describe someone who is likely dead or deceased(of no use).
Carl considers himself as 'defunct' as he is unable to adjust to advanced technologies like keyboard or computer.
This is the cause he regrets over the abandonment of old typewriters, as well as, telephones.
However, he criticizes the other employees for being dependent on technology excessively instead of using their brains.
Thus, he considers technology as the modern programmer's 'nemesis' which makes him feel 'outdated' and being critiqued by the manager's lackeys.
