(Questions for the only child) Would you like to have a brother or would u hate to have 1(explain why)

50 POINTS FOR MOST VALID REASON

Answers

I’d love to have an older brother or a brother close to my age. That way we could get along and also respect each other’s space.
I would hate to have a brother because I would have to share everything with them from my house to my parents to possibly all of my possessions. I wouldn't have as many nice things. I would have to deal with somebody being there all the time. I like being able to come home and be left alone after having to interact with people all day. I wouldn't get as many gifts for holidays. I don't have to share the people I love. Or a bedroom. I loved growing up the only child because it let my imagination run wild. I just sat in my room and played with toys and read books all day long. And I don't have to deal with the annoying extra drama that comes from siblings.

What is the best paraphrase of this excerpt from “Rikki-Tikki-Tavi” by Rudyard Kipling?

Teddy's mother picked him up from the dust and hugged him, crying that he had saved Teddy from death, and Teddy's father said that he was a providence, and Teddy looked on with big scared eyes. Rikki-tikki was rather amused at all the fuss, which, of course, he did not understand.

Teddy was covered in dust, so his mother picked him up, brought him in the house, and started running a bath. Teddy looked at her with terror in his eyes. He was scared of the water.
Teddy’s mother and father felt like the luckiest parents in the world, which Rikki did not understand.
Teddy's mother hugged Rikki-tikki, crying that he had saved Teddy from death, and Teddy's father said that he was a providence. Teddy looked on with big scared eyes. Rikki-tikki was rather amused at all the fuss, which, of course, he did not understand.

Teddy’s mother and father were more than pleased that Teddy had been saved. His mother hugged Rikki-tikki, and his father praised him while Teddy just sat in shock. Rikki-tikki did not really understand, but he was amused.

The dreams, hopes and plans of the characters in The House on Mango Street are often symbolized by a house – check out our discussion of houses in this novel in the "Symbolism, Imagery, Allegory" section for more on this. For Esperanza's Mama and Papa, the idea of happiness and security is summed up in the image of a white house, big enough for their whole family. They pass this dream down to their children, but Esperanza takes it and makes it her own – her dream becomes having a house all to herself, in which she can be free to write.

Spending money on Education vs for fun.

"When school districts spend money wisely, they have better outcomes, including higher test scores, increased graduation rates, and other improved indicators of student achievement. More money also helps ensure that students have schools with better facilities and more curriculum options. Some people like spending money on clothes."

"Other people like spending money on alcohol. Still others enjoy cars or TVs or movies, drugs, games, concerts, traveling, education, fancy restaurants, family events or holidays."

[PERSUASIVE ESSAY FORM BELOW]

[INTRODUCTION]

Some may argue that spending money for fun

is more important than spending it on education, but that is simply incorrect. Spending money on education is much more efficient rather than spending it for pleasure because it has much more benefits than it does for entertainment.

[BODY PARAGRAPH]

It can be proven that spending money on

education is far more systematic than using that money on amusement. For example, when I wanted to get better grades for my math class, I bought some notebooks from Walmart and wrote stuff down in class, that way I would go home after school and study so that when the test comes, I will be ready to take it with confidence. I would go to school with my new notebook and write some equations and explain what they meant in words that I would understand. After doing so, I would go home and reread the equations and solve some math problems using those equations. When the test arrives, I will remember the equations and use them to solve the problems on the test and pass the test with a high enough grade. This proves that spending money on education is more important than to spend it for fun.

[CONCLUSION]

Spending money on education is much more efficient rather than spending it for pleasure because it has much more benefits than it does for entertainment. Next time, be sure to think twice and spend your money wisely. You should ask someone who is very familiar with business and economics and would be of great assistance.

Hope this helps.

How do adult expectations and actions manifest in children?

Answers

Answer:

It can make the children get depression, anxiety, or stress. For example, your parents are forcing you to study so you can get into Harvard. They verbally and psychically abuse you. Your parents yell at you over and over again till you get depression.

Explanation:

Please give me BRAINLIEST and THANKS lol <( ̄︶ ̄)>

Answer: When a child's parents or someone they look up to has expectations of them, they wish to fulfill them due to want of recognition and to be told they have created pride within that person solely due to what the child has said or done. We have a urge or need to please them to be told "good job" or "well done" makes someone feel good, knowing they had done the correct thing and therefor are praised for it. it's a psychological aspect. When someone does well, they receive praise, and when they do wrong, the term "crime and punishment" is in effect. A child seeks approval and tries to make a parent feel proud of them, or someone as simple as there teacher.

Read the excerpt from “Louis Pasteur: Battle with Death.”

He found that by letting this tissue stand for a few days it became weak. When a dog received this weak nerve tissue it became sick, yes. But not so sick that it died. The dog got well. And after that, even if injected with the strongest nerve tissue, the dog did not develop rabies. Its body had built up strength against the disease. The dog was “immune.”

The scientist knew that persons bitten by rabid dogs do not show signs of illness until nearly a month later. If resistance could be built up in these people before they showed signs of the disease, perhaps they might not sicken at all! He worked up a course of treatment. It would take fourteen days.

On the first day a dose of a very weak fourteen-day-old nerve tissue was to be given to a person who had been bitten. This was followed on the second day by a thirteen-day-old dose. And so on, until on the last day strong virus was to be given. During this time the person’s body would be building up resistance. Finally, the victim would have so much resistance that he would not get sick.

Parents roles in the 1300s Italy?

Answers

ready to leave the house, and even then some. According to a source from News Canada, “The first few years of a child's life are full of new and exciting experiences…” This would mean that an adult needs to be there for their child. But what if back in the early Renaissance period, the relationship between parents and children was extremely different? Instead of parents pampering their young, “there seems to have been little concern for child between birth and five or six years old” (Medieval and Renaissance Parenting 1). That’s seems strange, since those are the most important part of a child’s life. Medieval parents often brought their children up, not by themselves, but the help of other influences such as wet-nurses, social commentators, and religious leaders. The treatment of children throughout the middle ages, and the treatment of Hal from King Henry IV, by William Shakespeare, is quite similar. Children were fairly unnoticed, just as Hal is by his father, King Henry.

While said that children go fairly unnoticed, this is usually up until the later years of life, reaching about age 7 or 8. “At age eight the French nobility would send their sons to a castle to begin his training in the ways of men. From age eight to fourteen he would learn the essentials: hawking, fighting, and riding. The castle's chaplain would oversee his religious education” (Medieval and Renaissance Parenting 1). Parents would know about their children, but it was virtually difficult to form a connection between parent and child. With a child gone so long, there is no time between birth and teenage years that a father can spend time with his son. Females were essentially brought up to help with the household, in a peasant home, while noble girls would be brought up to be a lady. Marriage was also a big issue among the families. The parents were always looking for a good match for their child as to marry into money, or a better family. “Among the nobility, children would perpetuate the family name and increase the family's holdings through advancement in service to their liege lords and through advantageous marriages” says Barbara Hanawalt, author of The Ties that Bound: Peasant Families in Medieval England. “Some of these unions were planned while the bride- and groom-to-be were still in the cradle” (Hanawalt 96). So basically children were so important to families because of money and status, which is not unusual for Medieval ways.

Now parents did love their children, at least mothers did, because they are their own. But it is possible that childhood isn’t taken so seriously for a reason. “Perhaps childhood is so overlooked in the Middle Ages because it was so short. “At seven and eight the entrance into adulthood began” (Medieval and Renaissance Parenting 1). This would explain why parents do not have a dominant role in a child’s life. Girls were usually married rather early, and had their first children in the mid teens. When Europe was flourishing in the mid Renaissance, parents began to slightly see their children more, bringing them up with “their own individual rights” (2). Parents were able to allow their children some freedoms, which could play off in the Shakespeare’s play.

King Henry really did care about his son, but at the same time, was very aggravated by him. Harry, or Hal, was a really free, charismatic young guy, with no regards for nobility at the time, though he was the prince. He could care less about the throne, and concentrated more on just living. He is a “ young man of great abilities and violent passions” (Johnson 4). This in turn drives his father nuts, as he wants him to be more like Harry Percy. This is well known as the king says “then would I have this his Harry [Percy], and he mine” (Shakespeare 375). The King wants to switch his son with Percy, or Hotspur, because he is a war leader. He has won many battles, and done so well in life, while be the exact same age at Hal.

The fact that King Henry doesn’t like him, ultimately seems the whole reason of Hal’s big plan. He wants to hang around with “low life losers” because he wants to impress his father when the time is right. He will show them that he is a great ruler. It is sad because all he wants to do is impress King Henry, and Henry doesn’t care. “Redeeming time when men think least I will,” says Hal, meaning that he will, do just that. He will in time be who he is supposed to be (Shakespeare 377). In the end, his father does like him better, as Harry proved that he is something pretty good. He kills Hotspur, despite Falstaff’s lie of saying he finished him off. Hal goes on to be a great ruler and King, surprising them all as he hoped to do.
