Book 12 in the odyssey I need the summary , please don't copy off the internet my teacher knows when it is off the internet so in your own words please.

Answers

Answer 1
The odyssey is one of my favorite books. So I definitely got you on this one. I’ll put it into my own words. But if you want to be even more sure I’d rewrite it in a way your teacher will think it’s you.

In book 12 of the Odyssey, they start off with Circe tells Odysseus about the sirens, how they lure boatmen into the sea and based off of their songs they sing. She goes on to tell him to use beeswax in their ears so they don’t die. A great gesture from a lady who turned his crew into pig and I right. But then she tells him about the two monsters they’ll encounter on their sail. Circe explained to him about how he should choose the side of the Scylla instead of Charybdis. Where you can always lose a handful of men instead of losing the whole ship. The day comes and they go on their sail, Odysseus decided he didn’t want to tell his crew about the monsters or the sirens so they didn’t worry. But Odysseus does what Circe says, and just loses 6 men. They finally arrived at the island, and all men were hungry and tired. Odysseus told them and they agreed to not eat the cattle. But, they became trapped on the island for a month, and they crewmen betrayed Odysseus and ate the cattle. Helios (the sun god) was extremely angry over the fact they killed some of the cattle. The men decided to continue to eat the cattle which enraged Helios. So he decided to ask the gods to do something about it. But the whole time they were on the island. Nothing happened. The crewmen finally left the island, and then a huge storm came apon them. Which then pushed their boat along to the monster who created whirlpools. Odysseus had just barely saved himself.

So it’s long but I that’s my summary, if you want any more summaries on the book for the class definitely ask me and I’ll gladly help. This is one of my favorite books :)

The sentence that states the central idea of "Plate Tectonics: Moving and Shaking" is A: The most dramatic geologic activity on Earth happens at tectonic boundaries. Hence, Option A is correct.

What principle underlies plate tectonics?

Large rock slabs called tectonic plates, which separate the Earth's crust, are constantly moving and changing the planet's topography. The theory of plate tectonics contends that the lithosphere, the planet's outer shell, is divided into a number of plates that move over the rocky interior of the planet and on top of its softcore (mantle)

The plates move occasionally toward and occasionally away from one another due to the heat produced by radioactive processes occurring within the planet's interior. A tectonic shift is another name for this movement.

Hence,  The sentence that states the central idea of "Plate Tectonics: Moving and Shaking" is A: The most dramatic geologic activity on Earth happens at tectonic boundaries. Option A is correct.

C. Within minutes of hearing the news, we had raced home. Sure enough, our friends had just arrived and were waiting for us

Answer:

I'm pretty sure the third one is correctly punctuated: Within minutes of hearing the news, we had raced home. Sure enough, our friends had just arrived and were waiting for us.

Explanation:

"Within minutes of hearing the news, we had raced home." - This would be the first sentence since you and your friend heard the news and raced home. The other sentence would be "Sure enough, our friends had just arrived and were waiting for us." - This part is after you and your friend heard the news and raced home, so basically it'll become another sentence.

Answer:

Unspecified time.

But it could still be claimed to have occurred at a time when the topic of African American slavery is widely known in Africa.

Explanation:

The book of a play titled "Dilemma of a Ghost" was written by Ama Ata Aidoo. Though the play was set in Ghana, the time of the beginning of the book which is Act one is unspecified.

However, judging from the conversation, it could still be claimed that "Act one" occurred at a time when the topic of African American slavery is widely known in Africa.

This is evident when Nana, the grandmother of Ato questioned that "And so, my grand-child, all you want to tell us is that your wife is a slave?" This is a reference to Ato's wife who happens to be an African American.
