B. Tax cuts to the rich and bigger businesses would have a trickle-down effect to others.

What are three things that happened in Hawaiian economic history that encouraged the growth of the sugar industry?

Answers

Here is the answer(you’re welcome)

In 1825, the first sugar cane was planted in Hawaii for the purpose of harvesting sugar in Manoa Valley on Oahu. Two years later, the plantation failed. Ladd and Company established the first profitable sugar cane plantation in Koloa, Kauai, in 1835.

What happened to the sugar industry in Hawaii?

The sugar grown and processed in Hawaii was mostly sent to the United States and, in smaller quantities, to the rest of the world. The major employers in Hawaii were sugarcane and pineapple plantations. Both are now obsolete, with production shifting to other countries.

The Hawaiian Reciprocity Treaty with the United States was signed. This pact permitted Hawaiian sugar and other products to be sold duty-free in the United States. In exchange, the United States got land in the Puu Loa area, later known as the Pearl Harbor naval facility.
