Answer 1

Answer:

I’m noticing here in the first stanza that it says “Ruby’s shoes would take her a mile or so to school every day, where the white Every day, these words remind me that she keeps on, despite the fact that people there are cruel to her.

This demonstrates her determination to continue attending school and learning. I've already noticed that she prays every morning. Every now and then, there's that expression. She would pray because it is difficult for her to go to school in this condition, but she does so every day.  “Well, well, no other child has ever walked in her shoes,” says the author, implying that she is the first student to go through this ordeal. That must have been very difficult for her, but she continues to attend school regardless.

As the author says Ruby's will is higher, she is implying that Ruby will not be scared into not going to school. It follows the poet's description of how white people would show her signs asking her to leave. “She is stronger than the big0ts with the signs will ever know,” says the next paragraph. This demonstrates that she would not display her fear to them. Ruby's determination to attend school triumphs over their hatred and cruelty. She would not allow them to prevent her from turning up. It's as as if she's implying she won't let them win. Her will is her resolve and continue going to school to study despite the fact that others do not want her there.“Ruby stopped and prayed that all the hatred would go away,” the poem states. This line appears four times in total. Why did the author want this particular line to be repeated? What does this reveal about Ruby to the reader? This line is important to the poet, and he wants me to pay attention to it. It's repeated because it reveals something significant about Ruby to me. Every day, Ruby paused to pray, according to the study. The author wants me to see that she continues to do this, over and over. Ruby's use of the word prayed makes me believe she is a devout Christian. This line follows a series of stanzas in which people are cruel to her. It occurs after they have screamed at her and left her stranded in the classroom. She is constantly praying for people to be more compassionate. She does not retaliate or get enraged at the citizens. Instead, she prays for them. This line is repeated by the author so that I can note Ruby's gentleness.

In this poem, there are no periods after any of the lines. Periods cause the reader to avoid reading. I believe the author is attempting to convey to me that Ruby's suffering from all of the hate is never-ending. Since they despised her so much, she would have to stop and pray for them every day, according to the poem. They despised her because of her skin colour, according to the poem. Ruby was unable to alter the tone of her eyes. Ruby never missed a day of training. She never stopped hoping that anything like this would never happen to another girl. This is why the poem has no cycles. After the lines "Why, oh why can't I?" there are two question marks. I associate question marks with perplexity.

She is just six years old, according to the poem. She had to be perplexed as to why people were treating her so badly. The poem's point is that we do not treat anyone differently because they are different, and the question marks indicate how frightening this was for Ruby.

Argument and explanation are two main concepts in academic fields such as philosophy, logic, and research . There are five basic components to create an effective argument. There are ways to strengthen an argument and to find the potential weaknesses of each point before publishing your paper or presenting your argument to an audience. The parts of an argument include claims, counterclaims, reasons, evidence, warrant, acknowledgment and response.

Birches
BY ROBERT FROST
When I see birches bend to left and right
Across the lines of straighter darker trees,
I like to think some boy's been swinging them.
But swinging doesn't bend them down to stay
As ice-storms do. Often you must have seen them
Loaded with ice a sunny winter morning
After a rain. They click upon themselves
As the breeze rises, and turn many-colored
As the stir cracks and crazes their enamel.
Soon the sun's warmth makes them shed crystal shells
Shattering and avalanching on the snow-crust—
Such heaps of broken glass to sweep away
You'd think the inner dome of heaven had fallen.
They are dragged to the withered bracken by the load,
And they seem not to break; though once they are bowed
So low for long, they never right themselves:
You may see their trunks arching in the woods
Years afterwards, trailing their leaves on the ground
Like girls on hands and knees that throw their hair
Before them over their heads to dry in the sun.
But I was going to say when Truth broke in
With all her matter-of-fact about the ice-storm
I should prefer to have some boy bend them
As he went out and in to fetch the cows—
Some boy too far from town to learn baseball,
Whose only play was what he found himself,
Summer or winter, and could play alone.
One by one he subdued his father's trees
By riding them down over and over again
Until he took the stiffness out of them,
And not one but hung limp, not one was left
For him to conquer. He learned all there was
To learn about not launching out too soon
And so not carrying the tree away
Clear to the ground. He always kept his poise
To the top branches, climbing carefully
With the same pains you use to fill a cup
Up to the brim, and even above the brim.
Then he flung outward, feet first, with a swish,
Kicking his way down through the air to the ground.
So was I once myself a swinger of birches.
And so I dream of going back to be.
It's when I'm weary of considerations,
And life is too much like a pathless wood
Where your face burns and tickles with the cobwebs
Broken across it, and one eye is weeping
From a twig's having lashed across it open.
I'd like to get away from earth awhile
And then come back to it and begin over.
May no fate willfully misunderstand me
And half grant what I wish and snatch me away
Not to return. Earth's the right place for love:
I don't know where it's likely to go better.
I'd like to go by climbing a birch tree,
And climb black branches up a snow-white trunk
Toward heaven, till the tree could bear no more,
But dipped its top and set me down again.
That would be good both going and coming back.
One could do worse than be a swinger of birches.

1. What does the speaker want to think has caused the birches to bend? What really caused them to bend? Why might the speaker want to believe in the first cause?

2. To what does the speaker compare the ice that falls from the birches? To what does he compare their trunks and leaves? What can you infer about the speaker's regarding the birches? What might the speaker mean when he say that "One could do worse than be a swinger of birches?

3. In this poem, Frost compares life to a pathless wood. Do you think this is an appropriate simile for life? Why or Why not? To what might you compare life?

4. This poem includes examples of onomatopoeia. How, in your opinion, does onomatopoeia contribute to the impact of the poem?

Don't answer if you don't answer. Thanks!

A group of teenage girls were able to use social media to promote the role of black women in protesting. Answer: D

A group of teenage girls were able to use social media to promote the role of black women in protesting. Thus, option D is correct.

What was the protest about?

Zed Thomas, 15, stayed up late the night before Tennessee's June 4 demonstrations against racism and police brutality to be ready for the event, which would be the region's biggest such protest to date. Thomas had been motivated by the Minneapolis demonstrations that occurred following George Floyd's passing. Jade Fuller and Nya Collins, two other adolescent women from Nashville, responded to the post and introduced Thomas to their friends. Six girls, ranging in age from 14 to 16, formed Teens4Equality and contacted the Nashville Black Lives Matter chapter. Social media played a major part in this process.

Thomas's mother "trusted" her and said, "Let me handle it." The march was scheduled to take place after one week and several thousand followers from Social media. Protests have continued around the nation for a second straight week with larger crowds and fewer conflicts with law enforcement. In light of Floyd's killing and other recent instances of police violence, thousands are calling for increased police accountability.

Therefore, option D is the correct option.

The question is incomplete, the complete question is:

The night before Tennessee’s June 4 protests against racism and police violence, 15-year-old Zed Thomas couldn’t sleep. Thomas stayed up until 3 a.m., tossing and turning and setting multiple alarms. The demonstration would be the largest such protest in the region to date, with more than 10,000 people in attendance, but there was no way for Thomas to know that yet. All she knew was that a tweet she’d written on her personal account on May 27 had led to this moment. It read, "If my mom says yes, I’m leading a Nashville protest." Thomas had been inspired by the protests in Minneapolis, which erupted after George Floyd's death. "GeorgeFloydProtestNashville053020" by Nick Shockey is licenced under CC BY-SA 4.0. Thomas, who gets most of her news on social media platforms like Twi-tt-er and In-sta-gram, was struck by the visible anger and frustration of

Minneapolis protesters. "I wanted the people in Nashville to know that we could feel that anger sooner or later if we didn’t do something to stop police brutality," she says. Two other teenage girls in Nashville, Jade Fuller, and Nya Collins replied to the post and said they wanted to help. Then they introduced Thomas to other friends — Emma Rose Smith, Kennedy Green, and Mikayla Smith. Teens4Equality was born, and the six girls, ages 14 to 16, got to the six They reached out to the Nashv ille chapter of Black Lives Matter, which posted about Teens 4Equality on their social media channels and provided advice to the girls.

Thomas says her mom "trusted" her and "let me take care of it." A week and several thousand In- sta- gram followers later, the march was set to happen. And most of the girls haven't even met in person yet.

All across the country, protests have stretched into their second sustained week, with stronger numbers and generally fewer clashes with police. Thousands are demanding greater police accountability in light of Floyd’s death and other recent incidents of police violence, including the death of Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old emergency room technician who was shot and killed by Louisville police officers in her home on March 13.

An oral report delivered to the church's young people's group
general
formal
Informal

Answers

Answer:

General

Explanation:

Hi, I noticed your question has yet to be answered, so I'll help you out and explain why this would be general usage.

Because it is an oral report, the answer would not be informal. So we have to focus on the remaining two and look at all the avenues in each.

Formal writing does not allow contractions, opts for complex terms and is often seen in masterful/scholarly writing.  Because the audience is a church's youth group, more than likely formal usage is not the case.  If it were an adult audience, perhaps this would be the right choice.

Therefore, general writing is not informal per say, but it does allow some contractions, explores modern/more simple of terms and is found in more comfortable environments, as opposed to formal.

Once again, because the audience is young, it would be very confusing if the person presenting the report were to use complex terms.  They would have to word it in a way where the children could understand; hence, why I say general is correct.

Hope this helps.
